Recipe no 2. for sauteed pea shoots on toast


Bread (for toasting) could be anything - we went for some sourdough!

1 Tray of pea shoots (1 grow's worth)

1 Red chilli

4 Cloves of garlic

Salt and pepper

Veg/Olive oil


Harvest your pea shoots (ideally at around 12-14 days growing time) and roughly chop them into quarters

Roughly chop the onion and chilli into thin(ish) slices

Put a large frying pan on high heat and add a little oil

Add the garlic and chilli slices, stirring them constantly until they start to soften (2 mins)

Time to stick your toast in the toaster

Add the pea shoots to the garlic and chilli in the pan. Turn the heat down a little to high-medium and saute for just 2 minutes

Place the sauteed greens on the toast and add salt and pepper to taste - and enjoy!
